File Preparation
Below is a general guideline to help you prepare your artwork for press. Depending on which software you use to develop your artwork and what your print options are, slightly different or additional file preparation step(s) may be required.

General Guideline for File Preparation

  1. Your submitted file(s) must be in one of the following formats: .eps, .psd, .ai, .pdf, .tif, .jpg.
  2. Make sure all files and images are in CMYK mode, not RGB.
  3. Full Bleed: If you want to print to edge, extend artwork 1/8” beyond cut lines.
  4. Live Area: Keep any content that does not go to edge of paper 1/18” Inside cut lines. This will ensure specified content will not get cut.
  5. Set your crop marks. Crop marks are the cut line.
  6. Spell check.
  7. Outline all fonts.
  8. Provide all images in minimum 300 dpi for best output.
  9. Flatten artwork.
  10. Double check your print orientation: front & back, flat & folded.
  11. For projects with multiple pages, make sure page numbers are correct and that we understand your page numbering system.
  12. Do not include any unnecessary object(s) with final artwork.
  13. Do not include any unnecessary files.
  14. If printing on both sides of a sheet, 2 files are needed - 1 file per side.
  15. Zip all files. This will compress your submitted file(s) size and reduce the possibility for file corruption during file upload.
